Introduction
Cooperation with Turkey is mainly based on the economy and environment themes and involves a variety of activities such as desk research, expert and site visits, workshops; seminars and training programmes, etc.
The involvement of Turkey started with a UN TEM project in 2003. Interaction of Turkey and Window 8 was reinforced during 2006 with the initiation of two projects (Developing Terms of Reference for CBA and EIA; and Gerede-Merzifon Road Cooperation Project) as well as the mission visit to the Turkish Ministry of Public Works led by the Dutch Minister of Transport. Currently the Gerede-Merzifon Road Cooperation Project continues.
