8 - Roads and Regional Development
Introduction
Several of the activities within Window 8 have taken place in Hungary, in cooperation with the National Motorway Co. In 2003 and 2004 the topics were focused on training in CBA, funds and financing and regional development and later in 2007 on ecological mitigation measures.
In 2006 Hungary hosted a conference on "Roads and Regional Economic Development", located in Eger. Hungary has furthermore taken part in all conferences organised within Partners for Roads, Window 8.
In 2007 an expert visit on ecological mitigation measures took place in Hungary. Interesting mitigation measures were visited and discussed with the developers and a biologist in the field.
