About Window 8
Window 8 of the Partners for Roads programme was initiated in 2002 with the emphasis on sound road planning. This includes meeting international standards and financing requirements and mainstreaming socio-economic and environmental aspects.
In this window, road planning agencies from different countries exchange experiences in different forms. The outcomes are found on this website, which also provides an easy access to these outcomes and other relevant information available elsewhere on the web. Main entries to the information are modules (economy, environment and cooperation), organizations and countries.
The window 8 website is regularly updated by the partners for roads network, which has its nerve center in The Netherlands (DHV, NEA and Netherlands DG for Public Works and Water Management). It is also available for road planning agencies anywhere that may be interested in these issues.
